William Dupere

Former Head of School, Berean Christian School

Current Superintendent, Bedford County Public Schools

Dr. Allen was a very conscientious leader in our PS-12 private school, highly respected for her leadership with an evolving faculty and staff, innovative with technology and always in the pursuit of best practices not only for the elementary school, but for the entire school. I counted on her to lead the school in curriculum and instruction, technology and the overall operation of the school. Though she did not carry the title, my trust in her was at a level that I had no hesitation in treating her as the Deputy Administrator of the school.

Douglas Raines, Ed.D.

Headmaster at The King's Academy, West Palm Beach, FL

Melissa is truly in a class of her own when it comes to creativity, initiative, and work production. My many years of interaction and observations of my friend were filled with admiration as I recognized her many gifts and her generous use of these talents. She passionately communicated her perspective in eloquent oral and written form. Dr. Allen enjoyed leading teams and gaining buy-in as she helped others find their passion and explore avenues to harness innovative strategies into instructional enhancements in several school settings. Melissa is an insightful person who exudes confidence in all she does. She is a critical thinker and a problem solver. Melissa always enjoyed a challenge and looked to help others as they grappled with difficult issues. She is a real treasure who enjoys the opportunity to propel others forward.
